One Year of Jereko Gear

As of the release of this article, Jereko Gear will have been active for one whole year, and what a year it has been! We went from 3 months with no sales to receiving one or two each week, which may not seem like a lot but my expectations were set rather low to begin with. So to reminisce on the past year, I am writing this short blurb, talking about all of the exciting leaps Jereko Gear took in 2022.

Launch Day!

On January 1st, 2022, the Jereko Gear Etsy store went live. It was a moment I feared for a long time because I was putting myself and my ideas out into the world and I had no idea how they would be received. Luckily, within a week, we got our first order!

Summer

With the start of the hiking/camping season, orders began coming in weekly, and new products started to hit the store including the Driver, the most popular item by a landslide. It was a busy time but I connected with some amazing people and word of Jereko Gear started to spread.

Winter

In December, just before the peak of the holiday season, Jereko Gear hit a major milestone; retail stores! Gear For Adventure in Buffalo and Trail Otter in Leicester, NY showed their support and agreed to start carrying our products in-store. Though extremely localized, this marked a point of legitimacy for the brand as a whole.

With 2023 underway, the future of Jereko Gear is uncertain, however, I am certain that we will make great strides and offer some awesome new products to the outdoor industry this year. Thank you all for your support and patience over the last year. It is because of you that I can pursue my dream as a profession. Here's to 2023!
