Jereko Gear in 2024
2024 has been an incredible year for Jereko Gear! This year brought exciting milestones, including the launch of new products for climbing and cycling, the long-awaited debut of our used gear store, and expanded availability across Europe through Outdoorline.sk. On top of these achievements, community support for Jereko Gear has grown tremendously, thanks to your participation in our events and sponsorships. As we celebrate these accomplishments, I’m eager to share some plans for the future with all of you.
Products
Every year on January 1st, Jereko Gear unveils new products that represent the culmination of the past year’s development efforts. While some of this year’s offerings may feel quite specialized, my mission has always been to deliver innovative, sustainable, and affordable solutions. By doing so, I hope to make the outdoors more accessible to everyone.
Delta V Core:
The Delta V Core is an elastomer conversion designed for the original Cannondale Headshok, known as the Delta V. First introduced in 1992, this suspension technology has stood the test of time, with its core design still in use today. This product was born out of a personal bike restoration project, addressing a significant gap in resources and expertise. With limited information available on these classic forks and a scarcity of technicians skilled in servicing them, the Delta V Core aims to breathe new life into vintage bikes, making restoration accessible to enthusiasts and riders alike.
Ultralight Carabiner:
These carabiners, originally featured on our Pack Charms, have exceeded expectations in terms of strength and versatility. During testing, they demonstrated an average breaking strength of up to 65 lbs. While not intended for climbing or heavy-duty applications, lightweight carabiners like these are essential for countless outdoor uses, such as rigging clotheslines, securing gear to backpacks, and more. Compact, durable, and practical, they’re a reliable solution for everyday adventures.
Dragon’s Head Fuel Stand:
The original Fuel Stand from 2021 has been a solid option—lightweight, affordable, and gets the job done. But I’ve always wished it could do more. That’s where the Dragon’s Head Fuel Stand comes in. It’s lighter, handles uneven terrain like a champ, and even has an elastic cord that’s perfect for wrapping up bags, pads, or other gear. It’s not just a stand anymore—it’s a super handy all-around tool for your adventures.
Brake Pad & Rotor Gauges:
I’ll say it—bike tools are way too expensive, and entry-level options are often pretty limited. That’s why I’m excited about these Pad & Rotor Gauges. They’re a simple, affordable way to check your bike’s braking system and make sure your brakes are ready to perform on your next ride.
Future Plans
Big things are on the horizon for Jereko Gear, and with the continued support of this incredible community and the outdoor industry, these dreams are becoming reality. We’re excited to share that Jereko Gear will soon be moving into a larger space of its own, opening up a world of new opportunities, including:
Prepaid, mail-in consignment
Repair services
Gear rentals
In-person shopping
We’re also in the early stages of developing our Adventures program, which will focus on personalized trip planning and accommodations tailored to your pace, needs, and goals. This program will launch with a bicycling touring option featuring select trail systems and will eventually expand into new activities like kayak touring and thru-hike support. Stay tuned—this is just the beginning!
I want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who has followed along and supported Jereko Gear throughout its journey. It’s been a long and winding trail, but we’ve traveled it together. None of this would be possible without the love and passion you’ve all shown to my little company. Wishing you all a Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Jeremy
